You may be eligible for a referral from your GP or Psychiatrist under a Mental Health Care Plan. This referral would allow you to receive a rebate of $84.80 for 10 sessions of psychological treatment.

Should you have Private Health insurance, you may be eligible for rebates in this way. You may wish to contact your health fund to determine if you have an appropriate level of cover for this.

Please note that you cannot claim Medicare and Private Health insurance rebates for the same session.

Medicare and Health Insurance Rebates do not cover the full cost of each session, and are only available for a limited number of sessions.

Please be aware that if you do not have a valid referral, you will be required to pay for the full cost of psychotherapy services provided.
